  • if i would succeed at anything i tried, i would spend the next year reading every single book i could about religion, psychology, and anything else that catches my fancy, while saving up some money with a nice little job that wouldn’t stress me out. i’d also be spending all that time trying out everything i could to self-help myself so that when the year was up i’d be proud of who i was.
  • then, i’d learn to drive, get the ged, use the money i saved up to get an okay car, and enroll at the junior collage. i would spend the next three years taking every last class i find interesting, not treat it like high school and actually remember everything i learned and not cram it, and in the back of my head i’d let the idea for a book stew for a bit. then, after taking a whole bunch of english classes and feeling confident in my grammar, i’d start writing anything i could think of.
